Essential criteria:
• Experience of governance and risk management, either in an organisational or project context, including identifying and taking forward opportunities for improvement.
• Financial and budget management skills and experience, and knowledge of HR processes and management or a willingness to develop it.
• Interest in organisational design and change management, including both process improvement and culture change.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience of negotiating successfully with other government departments and stakeholders through both formal and informal mechanisms, with the personal credibility to win the confidence of the NIC Chair, Commissioners and senior management.
• Strong team management and leadership experience, including the ability to build and motivate diverse teams, and to ensure the effective handling of a broad range of day-to-day challenges.
Essential criteria will be assessed at both the sift and interview stages.
