Eligibility and experience

Successful candidates should have no more than six years of professional experience in a field related to infrastructure, although we are not going to define what that means in advance – it’s up to you to make the case. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate strong communication and team working skills. They will have a passion and determination to help the Commission achieve its objectives.

We actively encourage applications from those who are under-represented in the infrastructure industry, including women, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) and candidates with disabilities. We are looking to appoint a diverse panel that represents a variety of professions and regions of the country.

How to apply

To apply to be a member of the YPP, please complete the application form below. The closing date for applications is 02 February 2020. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed in late February or early March 2020, and the YPP will be launched in May 2020.

Candidates should indicate whether they are interested in being considered for the role of Chair. The chair of the YPP will lead the development of a workplan and will promote the effective operation of the group. They will have proven experience of leading others and bringing people together. Applicants who would like to be considered for the role of Chair will be asked to complete an additional question in the application form.
